    Why PlaceCatcher Exists

    Memories already exist

    Our photos already exist.

    Our conversations already exist.

Our notes, documents and the small details of our experiences are already scattered across apps, folders and services.

    The problem isn’t preserving them.

The problem is finding them again when a place becomes part of our lives once more.

    Organising, not collecting

    We felt something was missing.

    Not another social network.

    Not another photo archive.

Something that could keep together everything that belongs to the same experience.

PlaceCatcher was created around that idea: organising memories, not simply collecting them.

A place as the starting point

We chose places as the starting point.

Every Card begins with a location on the map.

Around that place you can gather photos, notes, voice recordings, people, documents, weather conditions and all the small details that would otherwise become scattered.

The place becomes the thread that connects everything else.

    Relationships matter

    Memories rarely exist in isolation.

A place brings people to mind.

    People bring back moments.

Moments bring back emotions, conversations and decisions.

PlaceCatcher simply tries to preserve those relationships without pulling them apart.

    Private by design

We chose to begin with personal memory.

Before sharing, before publishing, before telling others, there is the personal relationship each of us has with the places that matter.

For this reason, sharing in PlaceCatcher is always intentional.

A memory remains private until you decide to share it.

    Less noise, more meaning

Every new feature can make an app more powerful.

But it can also make it more complicated.

That’s why we only add features that genuinely help people remember.

Every design decision begins with a simple question:

Does this make the experience clearer, or does it simply add noise?

    A project that keeps evolving

    PlaceCatcher will continue to evolve.

    New ideas will emerge.

    Others will be left behind.

    That’s part of the journey.

But our goal remains the same:

to help the places that matter to us remain more than anonymous points on a map.
